A new sidewalk in Paciencia Park follows the path of a well used cut-through path by pedestrians. The sidewalk is a big improvement and will be well utilized!

Prior to this path, pedestrians had to walk through the park to the get to the station.

A sidewalk was installed in Paciencia Park in South Miami by Miami-Dade Transit that connects the sidewalk to South Miami Station  will help encourage safe and convenient walking and biking to transit.  Miami-Dade Transit (MDT), along with Citizens for a Better South Florida also planted 8 trees and installed two park benches.  We spoke to several commuters at the Park who were very happy to see the trail constructed and confirmed that it would make their daily commutes easier.

We commend Miami-Dade Transit and the City of South Miami for this initiative, and hope that similar improvements can be made all along the M-Path.

In Coral Gables, the city inaugurated the redesigned Ingraham Park, at the intersection of Ingraham Highway and Le Jeune Road. The park is the last of a three phase project that also included the construction of the shared-path bridge over the CG waterway, connecting the Commodore Trail project to the Old Cutler Trail. The newly redesigned park has misting machines, fitness equipment, and multiple benches. The City will also be connecting the park to the sidewalk on Edgewater Drive in an upcoming project, closing an important gap in the Commodore Trail.
