City of Miami Recognizes Bike Month

It is with great thanks to Commissioner Francis Suarez and the City of Miami for offering a formal Proclamation acknowledging Miami Bike Month. On March 11, city delegates and members of the Miami community gathered at City Hall as the proclamation was delivered to Green Mobility Network (GMN). Eric Katz of GMN was there on behalf of the Miami bike community and expressed thanks to the commission and city of Miami bike & pedestrian coordinator Collin Worth for making this proclamation possible.

As stated in the proclamation, the city views better bicycling as a “viable form of transportation and recreation that has great potential to have a positive impact on Miami’s economy, health, and tourism industry and to stimulate economic development by making City competitive in an international marketplace where businesses and and citizens see bicycling as a desirable urban amenity…”

Many thanks again to the City of Miami for continuing to lead the charge as South Florida transforms to a world-class bicycle infrastructure destination. The community is invited to celebrate bike month with full range of bike events occurring through out the month of March. See link below for a video to the commission meeting and fast forward to 1:04:00 to see the Proclamation presentation.
