Forecast Ideal for Greenway Ride

You couldn’t ask for a better weather outlook for Sunday’s Fat-Tire Ride on the route of the proposed Biscayne-Everglades Greenway. Expect 67 degrees for the 9 a.m. pedals-up at the Everglades National Park’s Coe Visitor Center, and 72 to 75 degrees by the time you return. The forecast says zero chance of rain — but we can’t say the same for flat tires. Prepare to be self-sufficient for this unsupported ride, much of it along canal banks. The ride’s free, but you should show up at 8 a.m. to register. And remember that Daylight Saving Time resumes tonight!

Want a cue sheet? Ride planner Tom Burton prepared three, for rides of 17 miles, 24 miles and 42 miles.
