Among the visual delights George Merrick dreamed up as he planned Coral Gables are the international villages, each enclave expressing a national style found nowhere else in the city. You’re bound to have seen some of them, but have you ever really looked at them? Come on a bicycle ride with Green Mobility Network on Nov. 7 and see the rich expressions of a culture quite unlike your own.
Your tour leader will be Peter Schuetz and your guide Professor Teofilo Victoria of the University of Miami School of Architecture. The bike ride is organized by Green Mobility as part of AIA/Miami’s month-long celebration of design.
Meet at 1 p.m. that Sunday at the Douglas Road Metrorail Station. We’ll be back about 4 p.m. There’s a handbill here that you can download. Please do so and share it with your friends.
