Films at Cosford feature livable cities

For a morning out that will make you feel good about your city's potential, catch the documentary film program "Livable Cities & Safe Streets" at the Cosford Cinema on March 27. This fund-raiser for Green Mobility Network includes the premiere of two shorts by one of our members, bicyclist and filmmaker Tony Blazejack, as well as A Convenient Truth, about Curitiba, Brazil's progress toward being a sustainable city, and part of the PBS series Blueprint America, focused on bicycling and other transportation.

The program runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the $10 admission includes refreshments.  There also will be an auction of donated items related to biking, walking and running. Seating is first-come, first-served.

Why not make this a stop on your Saturday stroll or bike ride? There will be free bike-valet parking to keep your wheels safe while you relax.

The Bill Cosford Cinema is in the Memorial Building on the University of Miami's Coral Gables campus. For a map or directions, click here.
